RedCushion 100 ml

Red Cushion reduces damage from centrifugation by cushioning the sperm on the bottom of the tube. This enables the ability to work at high intensity and faster centrifugation rates than those used in conventional protocols, which in turn produces less compacted pellets with higher sperm recovery rates. The red color from which the product takes its name allows easy visualization of the pellet and its removal.

Usage Instructions (1):

1 – Aspirate 3 mL of Red Cushion with a syringe and needle, and deposit it at the bottom of the centrifugation tube;

2 – Dilute the ejaculate with BotuSemen at a proportion of 1:1 v/v;

3 – Incline the tube to 45° and slowly deposit the diluted semen on the wall with plastic Pasteur pipettes so that no mixing occurs between the semen and the Red Cushion;

4 – Centrifuge at 1000 xg for 20 minutes (Fanem centrifuges: 1000 xg = 2,700 rpm);

5 – With help of a pipette remove the sperm “ring” deposited on top of Red Cushion;

6 – Resuspend the sperm with BotuSemen or BotuCrio, according to the relevant instructions.

Usage Instructions (2):

1 – Dilute the ejaculate with BotuSemen in a proportion of 1:1 v/v;

2 – Insert the diluted semen into a centrifuge tube;

3 – With help of a new syringe and needle, deposit 3 mL of Red Cushion under the diluted semen;

4 – Centrifuge at 1000 xg for 20 minutes (Fanem centrifuges: 1000 xg = 2,700 rpm);

5 – Remove the supernatant;

6 – Aspirate the formed pellet over the Red Cushion;

7 – Resuspend the sperm with BotuSemen or BotuCrio, according to the relevant instructions.
